The main production of handloom fabrics are dhothies, ordinary towels, turkey towels etc., Vadasery in Agastheeswaram taluk is prominent for Dhothies and Turkey towels. In Kalkulam and Vilavancode taluks 'Kerala satmundu' is being produced which earns market in Kerala state.

Vadasery, Colachel, Eraniel, Nattalam, Palliyadi, Amai are the areas were cluster of weavers engaged in cotton handloom weaving. Average annual production of handloom varieties is Rs.1800 lakhs and annual average sales value is Rs.2100 lakhs.
